Biography
Guitarist, composer, multifaceted artist.
- 1988
Born in Normandie un 1988, I was Born in Normandy in 1988, I was imbued with a passion for the guitar from an early age by my father, who played.
- 1997
At the age of nine, I started to follow clasical guitar courses at the municipal music school of Rouen with Mr. Chéron.
- 1999
At eleven I join the Rouen conservatoire where I received instruction from Alain Rizoul during four years in a special timetable curriculum.
- 2003
Little by little I developed a passion for flamenco guitar. I started following courses in Spain at Jerez de la Frontera in the academy of Manuel Lozano "El Carbonero". Thanks to this first immersion in Andalusia, I discovered new horizons in my guitar playing with great enthusiasm.
- 2004
At the age of fifteen I went to live full-time in Jerez to continue my flamenco studies in depth. I remained however committed to my classical training, and entered the Joaquin Villatoro Conservatory in Jerez to study classical guitar with Manuela Ramirez. At the same time, I began attending the academy of José-Luis Balao, a recognised master of flamenco and classical guitar and a great composer.
After a year with Balao, I decided to drop out of the conservatoire and my schooling in favour of Balao's academy, because I couldn't manage the whole thing any more. - 2006
My apprenticeship with Balao lasted another year after that. It was an extremely intensive and decisive period in my artistic development. He taught me dozens of his compositions, a repertoire that I still play today, and it was also at this time that I began to develop my own taste for composition.
- 2007
After two years at the academy I had reached saturation point, so I left the academy and wanted to devote myself to my own research.
- 2008
At that time, around 2008, I felt a block with the guitar, I couldn't go any further, so I went back to France and immersed myself entirely in electronic music. Synthesizers had a liberating effect on my artistic expression and I devoted myself to this for almost ten years.
- 2012
Around 2012, new aspirations led me towards drawing and comics, a passion that took me quite far for a few years.
- 2018
In 2018, my experiments with storytelling and drawing led me one step at a time to video games and computer programming, a whole other world that absorbed me for a while and in which I had the satisfaction of being able to combine graphic design, storytelling, programming and musical composition in a single medium.
It was around this time that I finally began to feel mature enough to rediscover my inspiration for guitar. I started composing again and found my ease. I also started to take back everything I'd learnt at Balao. - 2021
In 2021 I finally decided to take on the challenge of showing myself as a professional guitarist. I started performing Balao's works and more recently my own compositions.
- 2022
Since 2022 I've been teaching classical and flamenco guitar in Vernoux en Vivarais (Ardèche, France).
